In 46 hours we will be on the plane to Rio de Janeiro for the start of our big adventure. Then it’s 8 months seeing the world, meeting new people and experiencing more new things than you can shake a big wavy stick at. The nerves are starting to set in but there are so many things to look forward to that they’re are like noisy mosquitos in the background as we look forward to the adventures yet to come.
Throughout these 8 months though we will miss our friends and our families enormously. You guys are bloody awesome. Over the last 12 months we’ve been through plenty; moving house, planning this trip, starting new jobs, quitting jobs and 366 days ago mum passed away.
I know mum would have approved of our decisions and we can only hope to travel with her values and lust for life deep inside us and make the most of every opportunity that comes our way.
Throughout this turbulent period we have been blessed with some wonderful friends who have made everything so much easier so I’d like to thank everyone for all their support and all their kindness. Last Saturday was a fantastic way to christen the new house with so many laughs and happy faces. So another huge thank you to everyone that came and made the day/night so enjoyable for everyone.
So before we go we’d like to say goodbye to you all and we will see you when we get back. Thanks for everything. Without you guys we could never have had this opportunity.
Things will cheer up from here on in I promise!
